The official start to our Fruit Yard Century Planning Committee is this month.  Although the Board has had many discussions regarding the FYC, now the new committee will take it over. Thank you so much for all our volunteers who are taking part in this committee.  They have some wonderful new ideas and improvements that should make the FYC even better this year. I can’t wait to hear more of their planning.

It’s not too late if you want to join this FYC Planning Committee – the first meeting is Tuesday, March 5 at 6:30 at Linda Johnston’s house (in Ripon).  The meetings will continue to be the first Tuesday of each month, until further notice.  Come and join us!

SCBC is helping with the Modesto Marathon this month.  I need about 10 riders to help ‘SAG’ the event, riding beside the runners and helping if needed.  (Thank you, Brice, for being one of the 10!)  The Marathon is Mar. 24 and I will need to have names soon for volunteers.  Please e-mail me that you will ride that event – president@stancobike.org.

Also coming up is the Turlock Lake Road Race (April 14) and Earth Day (April 20).  If you are interested in volunteering at either of these you can e-mail me and I will send your name on.

As we discussed at our October General Meeting, we are forming a committee to help plan and
implement our Fruit Yard Century event.

We need your help! Please consider helping in one of the areas listed below. Committee meetings will begin in January 2013, and will meet as needed.

The SCBC Board will be available to help, support, guide and meet with the planning committee.
