Bicycle resources, riding tips, local rides and group rides

This year’s SCBC trip to Tahoe was fantastic! We rode, hiked, ate, talked and enjoyed the awesome weather.

The water was abundant everywhere and made for beautiful waterfalls and the constant soothing bubbling of water running over rocks.

I hope more of you mark your calendars to come on this trip next year, you won’t be sorry! Set aside the week after Father’s Day.

I hope you are enjoying your summer riding season as much as I am! Remember to come out for the rides at Dave’s and Bob’s as we also bbq and swim. Thanks for being our hosts – Dave & Bob!

And you can also join us for the 4th of July parade. Come decorate your bike and ride in the parade for SCBC.

See you riding,

Susan

May is such a busy month for us! Please see our volunteer opportunities in Pacelines for activities during the month of May. Right now,we have 270 volunteers for the Tour of California. We need 450, so tell a friend or three!

If you haven’t volunteered for one of the many available positions yet for the Tour of California Event, Tuesday, May 17, then please sign up at: www.modestogov.com/amgen/getinvolved/.

I will see you at the many activities as SCBC strives to make bicycling safer and more visible to the community.

Thanks for helping make that a reality!

Thanks to SCBC, students all around Stanislaus County will be getting booklets about the Tour of California.  As part of our bicycle safety and awareness, SCBC has made a donation to make these booklets possible.  So look for one with our logo on it!

With so many bicycling activities coming up, SCBC has decided to postpone the Swap Meet.  We hope we can still help with the CdV/Turlock Lake Road Race on April 9th and Earth Day is on April 16.

April is also time to vote for Board Officers.  Please send nominations for President, Treasurer. If you would like to get more involved in our club’s growth, consider servin on the SCBC Board this year.  Call or email me with your interest.

And then comes MAY! Don’t forget Tour of California and all the Bike Week activities!!

Have a beautiful ride month,

Susan
