I was just looking over our club pictures on the website. What an exciting, busy year it has been! I hope if you didn’t have a chance to join us in one of our club trips, you will get to this coming year.
We have been ‘extending’ many of our rides to areas outside of Stanislaus County and have enjoyed the change of scenery and the companionship of riding together along with adding some more challenges to the ride. Come out and try one!
This month, we will be finalizing our SCBC jersey orders. Our deadline will be Dec. 11 – at the Holiday Social. You should be receiving a letter with more information about both of those. Hope to see you there!
Have a happy and blessed holiday season,
Susan

With 360 riders on our Cheese & Wine Century this year, we really needed all our volunteers! Thank you so much to all of you who put in your time to help make the ride a success!
With the proceeds from this yearly ride, we donate to several charities in our county, including Team Triumph, Second Harvest Food Bank, InterFaith Ministries, and helping to buy helmets for kids.
In addition this year, we hope to help fund ‘Share-the-Road’ signs for many of our bike routes on county roads. Together we can make a difference in Stanislaus County!
And keep in mind our other volunteer opportunities throughout this next year. We have the SCBC booth at many festivals and always need help to let the community know about biking and bike riders for our safety and theirs.
This year, we will be making available a calendar of events and are asking all members to help support SCBC through volunteering some time. The Board has found this community awareness to be an important aspect of SCBC and we hope you will share in this with us.
If you are interested in sharing a bike tour or trip with us by speaking at one of our winter meetings, please let a Board member know.

Our yearly Cheese & Wine is here!
This is our major fund raiser for our club. We need SCBC members to participate, and support this Century ride on Oct. 10th. We also get a lot of support from other groups such as Boy Scouts, a Ham Radio Club and many others.
If you can volunteer some of your time, to help with this once a year event, call or e-mail John Field. Thank you to all those who have already signed up to help. It takes a lot people and planning to make this ride the success it is, every year. We get many positive comments from riders who say they will be back, because of your help and support during this event.
You make a difference.
See you there,
Susan Dion

Thank you to Bob Kimball for hosting his annual ride, swim and BBQ at his home in August. We had a good group of riders.
There were a couple of injuries on this ride and I hope Norm and JoLynn are feeling better!
Thanks also go to Lois & Lindy who are now leading the Beginner’s Ride on the first Saturday of the Month. So remember to send any ‘newbies’ their way.
Come out to ride the Cancer Awareness Run & Ride this month. SCBC is a big supporter of this event and of Team Triumph.
If you aren’t riding, I can use your need help in our SCBC Booth. I am working a couple of positions in the morning so I really need those hours covered in the booth. Hope to see you there!
All members should come out for our last ride and BBQ this summer on Sept. 14 at Jacob Meyer Park.
