Fruit Yard Century October 11, 2014

Saturday, October 10, 2015

The Stanislaus County Bicycle Club invites you to our 4th Annual Fruit Yard Century, on Saturday, October 10, 2015 starting at the Fruit Yard Restaurant, 7948 Yosemite Boulevard, Modesto, CA.

This event offers three routes traversing the Central Valley farmlands, and the Central Sierra Nevada foothills. There’s a route for every skill level. We have even included a favorite part of our previous Cheese and Wine Century, the formidable Marshes Flat Road! Note: This route does not descend Kelly Grade.

You will receive a descriptive route map at the start/finish, and the routes will be well-marked. We will also have the radio-dispatched SAG support provided by the Stanislaus Amateur Radio Association.

All of the routes will have rest stops, well supplied with a variety of fresh fruit, snacks, drinks and more.

The 104 mile and 100 km rides will be treated to a full lunch midway through the day. Continental breakfast will be served at the ride start and will include coffee, pastry and fruit. All riders will receive an an “after-ride” BBQ chicken dinner, served by The Fruit Yard Restaurant. Vegetarian fare will also be available.

What’s New This Year? Actually, thanks to feedback from our riders, there’s lots new this year; we will have a better selection of snacks and foods at our rest stops, more signage to alert drivers about our event, a DJ at the Fruit Yard (who is a cyclist), new massage therapists, road arrows to mark our routes, a new lunch stop for the century, all rest stops will be full service, we will be using RoadID to keep track of our riders, a new event jersey with a long sleeve option, photographers taking photos for free, and support from local sponsors to make sure we put on a great event for you!
